Version 1 of the Saerileth Romance mod has been released at Chosen of Mystra. Saerileth is a paladin of Tyr, young, beautiful, and passionate. The mod introduces three new areas, as well as two SOA quests and one TOB quest. Saerileth is complete through SOA and TOB. Her DL is approximately 25MB. She is, of course, Weidu! :D Enjoy!

Not inappropriate at all - most welcome! Blimey...she is beautiful too!

I'm playing through BGTutu at the moment, will grab her when I reach Amn!

Just pleeease tell me she isn't as temperamental as Yasraena. One little party re-arrange outside the circus tent and she was gone for good in my last game!

Thanks for all your work, I sense many more unproductive hours ahead :D

Hmm...Paladin and Wild Mage...not exactly the obvious couple...

Yeah, what with the random gender changes and all. ;)

Sidenote, she became a Paladin as the age of 15?!?! What did she do? Slay an ogre at the age of 12? Suspension of faerunic disbelief aside, wishing your mod well.

ADD] Wait, wait, I also find it creepy that she is a romance option. A bit young, unless I am missing something here.

Yes, there was a good deal of discussion about her age when her forum first opened. There are pages of discussion in her FAQ thread (or is it her intro thread? I forget.). Yes, she is romanceable. You can tell her she is too young, though, if you like. And the other NPCs notice and comment on her age. As for how she became a paladin, she will tell you about it, romance or not, because she has friendship talks for a female PC.

Thank you for the interest! Please try her out and see what you think!

Looks awesome! I'd love to try out the Saerileth and Tsujahta mods. A few questions however:

Balance. If you compare Saerileth's and Tsujatha's ability points, unique features, quests and other factors with the NPCs already built into the game(Saerileth vs. Keldorn and Edwin vs. Tsujatha, for example), would you consider them to be more powerful? What are Saerileth's abily points like? Looking at Kindrek's and Tsujatha's ability points, they seem to be way overpowered. Plus, they seem like they also have some other special advantages. Is there anything to compensate this?

If I have any other content filled mods installed(such as the Big Picture mod), do you think the extra content in your mods could collide with the aforementioned mods and cause trouble?

Are your NPC mods compatible with each other?

That being said, I must admit that the mods are quite intriguing. Not to mention that Saerileth's portrait, age and character seem to be very anime-ish. I love that :D

Thanks in advance.

The PC isn't more than 20 so the age difference isn't that remarkable.

I think this NPC looks very promising, I'll certainly try her out once my current party reaches BG2.

Saerileth is compatible with all our other NPCs. (Tsujatha and Kindrek are compatibles installs, but Kindrek will leave your party if you take Tsujatha in it.)

There is a stat-line comparison of Saerileth's, Keldorn's, and Ajantis's stats over in her forum. She is comparable to those two. Paladins have high stats, after all. She is probably the weakest, in a powergaming sense, of the characters that nethrin or I have released. (Have you checked out Yasraena? She is not particularly overpowered, either.)

Kindrek is extremely powerful. He was meant to be invulnerable to magic. Just watch out for the level-drain, as he cannot be restored. Nor can he be raised.

Tsujatha--well, he is powerful. He is a specialist mage, but his stats, though high, have little in-game effect. For a mage, a high Con would have been of more powergaming benefit than a high Strength. Still, I freely admit that he has an item similar to Edwin's amulet in power. (But Edwin has his amulet, and he is an original Bioware. ) Check out Imrahil's NPC reviews for more unbiased detail. As the authoress, I must admit to being biased.

Still, I would recommend Saerileth even if you find Kindrek and/or Tsujatha overpowered. She is nothing out of the ordinary for a Cavalier.

I dowloaded the file and bookmarked the page, but I can't guarantee I'll give it a try since the game is not installed right now.

The difference between Before Puberty and After Puberty is always remarkable. True, females start becoming adolescents earlier than guys, but let's not forget that Faerun had nowhere near the stardard of living (health- and nutrition-wise) of modern industrialized nations. In the BG world, I wouldn't dream of fitting Plate armor on anyone who wasn't at least 17.

Seriously, would it have killed the character to make her 3 or 4 years older? I never imagined Aerie dispensing wisdom, maturity, and practical advice to anyone, but it look like that's what's going to be the case here. I myself designed a Cavalier NPC (Bjornsson, son of a Paladin you meet in BG1), and he himself remarks that he's rather young to have already taken his oaths, and he's 20.

I still don't think that a romance occuring between a 15-year old and a 20-year old is unfeasible. It happens in real life often enough, and as far as I know it was far more common in medieval times than it is today.

However I agree that her age doesn't really match her character. Perhaps something to do with growing up in the place she did?
