So I tried to swap some colors in this portrait I got from can't remember where. Went fine. Now the problem is to get BG to accept them. It just shows a standard silhouette with a question mark on it. I know the pics must be a certain size, bitmap, rgb. All that should be fine. Are there any conditions a portrait must meet I'm not aware of?

edit: Okay, I think the game just doesn't like me. Once inside the actual game everything worked fine. The portrait needs less contrast, though.

I know your pain. The reason why the contrast is a bit much in your portrait is because the game actually brightens the image somewhat. The best remedy, I found, is to go back and forth between darkening the image gradually, and going into the game and see how it looks. It might take a few attempts to get the image looking just right. I made several portraits long ago, but probably lost them all by now. Any image program, like Adobe (my preferred program) or paintshop (not too bad, but the greatest), will be enough to do the job.

Nah, I use Gimp.
