My kensai is at level 12 right now, but has just reached enough points to level to 13. Is it now that I dual class him to a mage or do I wait until I'm about to hit level 14? I'm assuming the former, correct? Thanks!

I think now would be better. Otherwise, you'd just be wasting your time collecting experience which could be better used in your mage class.

Depends if you have TOB installed. If you do, level 13 is when you dual class, and you do it anytime, you lose any experience points you have anyway.

If you don't have TOB, I think level 7 is the best, but I'm not sure, been a while.

Level 7 and 13 is when you gain an extra 1/2 attack.

Er... correct me if I'm wrong, but if you intend to dual at 13, then you must level up to 13, THEN dual class. Don't just have the xp necessary. If I'm reading your post wrong, then disregard what I just said.

Level 13 or Level 21 would be the best time to dual class.

Level 21 is quite amusing after casting a certain spell and trundling around with over 500HP.
