In the sewers under the Copper Coronet, there's a room you can enter that looks like forest strait outta Troll, and has some killer shrooms (forget what they're called atm). I'm just curious, if saving Andorian (the... minotaur-looking thing) from the Myconoid King leads to a quest or anything. It seems as though saving him may be almost impossible, except if you're high level enough to 1-shot the shrooms and/or have a mage with Timestop.

I've always cleared this room early on in the game, so never really had the ability to Kill the mushrooms quick enough to save Andorian.

thanks

I tried to do this once and managed to kill the Myconids before they killed him. I cast horror on them (from special ability) so they ran away instead of attacked him.

Unfortunately the minotaur then dropped dead even though there was nobody near him. I guess he must be scripted to die...

Yep scripted. I even tried using Shadowkeeper to have a spell sequencer with 3 healing spells... dind't work :(

Sadly, it must be scripted.

possibly another unfinished quest that they never got to...or not

His death is scripted. You can even Ctrl-Q him into your party and see he's perfectly healthy. But after the Myconid King dies (or after a cetain time, not sure which), Andorian will die. You can even hold down Ctrl-R on top of him and he'll die & resurrect, die & resurrect, over and over and over.....
