i'm running one of the above and it's turning out pretty good

he's a halfling at about level 15 now and he's strong but not ridiculously strong you know? he can tank in good magical armour against some opponenets but others start damaging me very quickly and i have to resort to running away and fighting the careful way

his qualities as an archer were a nice surprise as the swashie bonuses seem to apply - for melee belm and kundane is giving him a very pleasant 4 attacks per round and with the bonuses he feels like a kensai-lite

anyway, a fun character [img]smile.gif[/img]

Sounds like your gonna have some hard fights on your hands man! [img]smile.gif[/img] never soloed the game very far myself but i think it may be time to dust off my assassin an see what he can do. [img]smile.gif[/img]

The Assassin is one of the best classes to solo as. Hide, poison, backstab... set trap... do other thiefy things. All the while hidden :D

highlights have been trying to sell my stolen goods in the promenade at night when the random tactics city encounters groups spawn (they're too tough for me the way they gang up) - dodging round them and picking off the odd one was fun

and his saving throws (which i assume is the halfling bonuses) are very good - i'm taking on beholders by hitting and running and his saves are, well, saving him [img]smile.gif[/img]

aight seein as this thread is in and amongst thought id ask this here instead of in the ToB forum. My assassin is getting some fairly gnarly skills and kills with his backstab and will be even better when i find a decent scimitar. but has anyone soloed through watcher's keep? i paid a little visit and got absolutely nailed!
