In this game, I think it'd be kind of funny to play an alignment of a powergamer, specifically someone who does every quest the most rewarding way for the benefits, and who tries to complete every quest possible.

I'm leaning towards Lawful Neutral, or Lawful Evil, but I'd love to hear some other thoughts on the matter.

TIA

Lawful Good is definately the powergamers choice! My solo mage was purely power gamed because lawful good means high rep which means no bad encounters, high quest XP, and cheap items... how much more simple can you get!?

He never does desicions based on any kind of moral compass. He doesn't have an alignment. I'd say True Neutral. Not the stupid druidic "must maintain balance" True Neutral. The "Not Applicable" kind of True Neutral.

Most Lawful Good characters I've seen wouldn't get their hands on quite a lot of things. Like the Celestian Fury, The Staff of the Magi, The Flail of Ages and so on.

I lean more towards Chaotic Neutral.

"I do what I damn well please!"

Lawful Neutral. A powergamer exploits fairly rigid rules (the game engine) for maximum benefit. The powergamer, by nature, must adhere to these rules, not straying for any cause other than advancement.

Why in the world not?

The FoA?? How is clearing out Nalia’s keep not something a LG character would do?

You can stumble across the staff of the magi or you can follow the slave trade trail.

</font>
Funny, how the powergamer can always find a reason to justify acquiring such items. That's Lawful right there.

So Lawyers are Powergamers?

If we're talking about the game of life, then yes, I would have to agree.

</font>
Clearing the keep and killing the trolls is very good and noble. However, looting the keep is not. Assembling the flail and killing the trolls with it is entirely justified, but it still belogns to the De'Arnise family. Maybe if you took Nalia with you, she would let you use it, but it belogns to her.

You probably could find a way to roleplay a lawful good powergamer, but it's much easier for any neutral.
