I can't figure these folks out. I can barely do minimal damage using everything I have. Any suggestions

They're wraiths...wraiths are undead. Things that hurt undead would be your best option.

fire and acid arrows work,ice arrows don't!
Sword of flames and Daystar swords work well
killing them and remember A Wraith is in the
shadow family so they will drain your strength
and I ran into some Vampiric Wraiths that level
drained 3 of my team so make sure you have a priest
with a load of level 4 negative plane protection
spells on hand and protection from Evil 10 foot
radius.Also have your priest cast Repulse undead
there is no saving throw and it works every time
also Flame Strike will kill them and wand of the
Heavens
This should help a little and remember save
your game before and after each battle good luck.

Bah...all u need is a mage named Raistlin. Played from Lv 1 in Bg1 to Lv 40 in BG2 (excap, took me 4 months). add him into the game. Give him the Amultet of Power. stone skin. stand in the middle of the pack of wraiths and make them meet some of your finer spells http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
