I also have not found any use for it. I wounder if there is something in the game that we did not notice. You would think that if it is there for an ablity we would be able to use it some where in the game.

I've used it a couple of times. Never told me anything I didn't already know, though. Maybe I just didn't use it enough to find out....

Rangers should get it free at level 1, and not wait 20 levels to get something that is only moderately useful.

Exactly. This is how it works in the patched version of Icewind Dale. It has a modicum of use there, but is really not worth the ability slot in ToB (which has very few areas in any case).

Tracking can be very usefull yes, and it's kewl because you can use it numerous times!

Just gave it to Minsc as a special ability and have used it once....
would have been better off with another whirlwind attack... its not too hard to work out where the baddies are...hehehehe
