If you had to choose between Chain Lightning, or Invisible Stalker, which one will you choose? Please only decide between these two spells, and give your reasons for why.

Thanks

Two really good spells!!!!! I like chain
lightning because it damages all enemies
and I occasionally like to put three in a
spell trigger; however, my vote is for
Invisible stalker. There are a lot of
summoning spells out there and this one
is top notch!! I've tried this spell in
ToB and while my other summoned creatures
would be dying right and left, my invisible
stalker would be still hacking away at the
enemy. Hmmmm, maybe I should put three
invisible stalkers in a spell trigger when
I have a big fight coming up. I just like
spells that I feel I'm getting my moneys
worth with. That's why I like summoning
critters. Chain lightning is just over
so quickly.

Invisible stalker is more adaptable than chain lighting but you can't really compare them because they're completely different-I usually go with both.

I would choose chain lightning because it is much more efficient. I mean, few people have resistance to electricity and you can deal with lots of enemies quickly and effortlessly. I don't like the invisible stalker because I think it's useless. If he had a better weapon (he carries normal ones) he would be great.

Yep, I think Chain Lightning should be the must-have before Invisble Stalker. Mitsos pretty much summed up the pros. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Chain Lightning wins. The invisible stalker is a nice summon before your mage or cleric hit level 15, but afterwards, there is little reason to summon stalkers instead of summoning Skeletal Warriors, which do more damage, and last much longer.

Ok, so that is 3 votes to Chain Lightning and 2 votes to Invisible Stalker. I will wait another day and see whether more people vote. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Thanks everybody! I appreciate your input.

I cast my vote for Chain Lightning. granted, Invisible Stalker conjures up a hardy little badass that can be of help, but Chain Lightning is a spell i use far more, is more useful in a wider variety of contexts, and what someone said about loading a bunch of them in a spell trigger is a great great thing.

I vote for chain lightning, invisble stalker is good, but as sayd earlyer in this post is after the 15th level the animate dead the best summon

Here's a question: Which spell would
come in more handy if, say, you are going
to solo the game?
