I generally free the dragon guarding his lair, but now i wonder if it is more usefull to kill her. Do you get any special items for doing so or do you simply get some XP?

I freed her, then attacked her whilst she was stomping off ! Took her ages to figure out that I was having a go (ie, before she turned red) but by that time, she was practically cat-food.

IIRC, you get some XPs and a random treasure...gems, etc.

She drops a Ring of Invisibility, the only one in ToB. People who want to improve their Thief's Cloak and did not keep any from SoA, have to kill her if they want to upgrade their cloak.
