I found a pair of bronze pantalones (underwear) the first time i played TOB. Since then, I've played it about 4 more times and have not been able to find them again. Anyway, In TOB, right across from the mage who sells spells and magical items (I cant remeber his name or the town, but it's the one with all the mercs and monks) there is some weird lady who told me if I brought her a pair of bronze, silver, and gold pantalones she would construct a great suit of armor. Is this a joke? Also, I finally found the skull of the Lich, but I have no Idea what to use it on. I have finished everything but the battle with Mellisan, and I want to figure out what it is used for, before I go on. Any help would be great

The Skull of the Lich is used to upgrade the Spectral Brand +4.

Combining all three Pantaloons will give you several veeery powerful items.
You need the:
</font>
 • Bronze Pantaloons - Abazigal's Lair. Do the Petrified Adventurers quest.</font>
 • Silver Pantaloons - A reward for Evil solution for the Buried Alive quest</font>
 • Gold Pantaloons - In the Friendly Arm Inn, BG1.</font>
If you don't have all three, but you're still curious, the item codes for them are:
MISC47, MISC50 and MISCCB.
Enjoy.

is used by Cespenar to upgrade the Spectral Brand +4, longsword found in the Watcher's Keep as a prize Aesgareth gives you (demon with Deck of Many Things).

Spectral Brand is a Scimitar, not a Long Sword. ;)

Vedran 10-26-2002 04:14 PM

Omegosh! Really it is (although is it scimitar, wakizhashi or ninja-to, that's left for discussion)
Walkthrough is mistaken.

True_Moose 10-26-2002 05:33 PM

It has the in-game look of a scimitar, not a wakizashi or ninja-to, therefore I assume it is a scimitar. :D

It figures, Aesgaroth attacked me after I beat him at his card game, and all I got off his body was the rod and the cards. Oh well, maybe next time. Thanks to everyone who helped out

Which Spectral Brand are we talking about?
SW1H68 and SW1H69 have a look of long sword or something, but SW1H68A, SW1H68C and SW1H69C have a look of scimitar.

IIRC, Aesgareth gambles for Scroll of Wish and Spectral Brand.

True_Moose 10-27-2002 12:45 PM

Hmm...whenever I got it from Aesgareth, and had Jaheira dual-wielding it and Belm, they looked very similar (curved and such). Could there have maybe been a mixup in the codes or something?? I shall investigate! (was that corny or what )
