Alright, i just purchased ToB about 30 min ago, i havent even installed it yet. I have completed SoA many times over, yet never played ToB. So anyway, i have a few questions about the HLAs for mage and cleric.
</font>
 • What are the stats for the cleric HLA summons, and are they worth it?</font>
 • Which HLAs should i get for my Sorcerer? Which should i choose first and put more points into?</font>
 • Same question as above, but for clerics. My cleric is chaotic neutral (if it makes a diff)</font>
 • What is a good combo of HLAs for a Mage/Cleric?</font>
Also, do any major merchants sell scrolls for the new ToB spells? (not wild mage spells, the Bigby's and Wish)
Thanks, and sorry if this is confusing, i got a headache so its hard to write :(

Cleric High Level Summons...

Summon Deva
(Conjuration/Summoning)
Level: Quest
Range: 40 yards
Duration: 4 rounds + 1 round/level
Casting Time: 5
Area of Effect: Special
Saving Throw: None

This spell opens a celestial gate and calls forth an angelic deva to fight at the caster's side until the spell expires or the deva's earthly avatar is slain.

Summon Fallen Deva
(Conjuration/Summoning)
Level: Quest
Range: 40 yards
Duration: 4 rounds + 1 round/level
Casting Time: 5
Area of Effect: Special
Saving Throw: None
This spell opens an abyssal gate and calls forth an demonic deva to fight at the caster's side until the spell expires or the deva's earthly avatar is slain.
</font>
 • Is it worth it? Definintely.</font>
 • HLA's for the sorcerer I prefer Dragon's Breath, Comet and AA.</font>
 • HLA's for a Cleric/Mage I really can't answer because I never spent much time with them. But for the scrolls, they sell many varietes in ToB (Black Blade os Disaster, Bigby's, and so forth).</font>
Hope this helps buddy.

thanks man! i think ill get the Devas for my cleric first.. but since in neutral does that mean i get to pick either good or evil one? which is better if i get to choose. dont they get special spells?

Aside from the off-topic post, I think you only summon the deva that fits your alignment, as for nuetrals, I don't really know.

Peace

<span style="color: lightblue">Neutral Clerics and Mages get both the good and the evil variant. I think the good one is a little more powerful though.

Ahh, i had a feeling the good would be alittle more powerful, as the game is tilted towards good based partys. o well, i get both :D

Sorry about that Xero, earlier in the post I said to pick the spell AA, I was thinking about something else. A good spell is Improved Aclarity, sorry for that small bit of confusion :D

<span style="color: lightblue">Ok, after doing a bit more reading, and a bit of experimenting, I have found that the Deva/Planetar is not necesarily more powerful than the fell variety, but their power is more useful. They get the same number and type of spells; but the Fell get Unholy this, the Angelic variety get Holy-that. Now, how many enemies in this game are good aligned compared to those that are evil aligned ?? Basically, a Holy Blight will do alot more for you than an Unholy one.
