just got the deck and many things and im not sure what to pick.

i have trials...

jester

sun (300000 xp)
mantle (dunno the effect)
roque (dunno the effect either)

mantle and roque didnt seem to change any of my stats. is there any better than these two?

what would be the best third-pick?

You don't know what to pick? You don't get a choice. You pick a card and an effect happens. You don't choose what you want, unless you reload, and if you do it kinda defeats the purpose, so pick what you want.

It depends on your characters needs. My thief used chose, and used a ....SPOILER

I remember encountering the deck of many things in many a rpg, always made it fun. until, of course, my character ended up stuck in a pocket dimension battling death. but therin lies the fun of it.

I lost around 10,000 gold, got some xp, and got a bonus to my constitution.

Check out this page at Gamebanshee. It's really all up to you as to what you want, though know that if you draw right, you can get a lot of XP, with very minimal consequences. [img]smile.gif[/img]

The interesting thing about this is some of the images are very similar to the real TAROT deck for fortune telling...only some like "TOWER" , "SUN" or whatever else....
If u pick "BALANCE" the creator of the deck then its all over...the deck vanishes into some aether plane...
So I am wondering if it is a certain number of times before this actually happens or is it a random card every pick???

I always go for the 10 hp (Moon) and the +1 primary stat (possibly Star).

And I hope to buggery I save against Donjon :D
