The Oversight mod V3.0 for Baldur's Gate II has been released! It includes
- Tougher Sendai - Alignment corrections - Class/innocent designation fixes - Revisions to a few spells - Improved Continuity - Clerical improvements - Improved Monk HLAs - Holy Liberator kit - Fixes all bugs found in V2. Available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Polish. Barring unexpected circumstances, this should be the final version of this mod. GREAT! Is the friendly animals bug fixed?

Yes. That component is no longer a separate component, but can be found in a heavily modified form as part of Altered Spells. Now, you can befriend all the animals in the game easily as long as you have a ranger. Animals that start out hostile will still start out hostile, but Charm Animal targets all animals in the area, allows no save, and lasts as long as you're there.

But what do you mean by 'Imroved Continuity'? |
Irenicus the Slayer has the same voiceset as Irenicus instead of the ogre thing, and if you kill Saemon in SoA he doesn't reappear in ToB. (Only if you kill him, you don't need to worry about that part if you like him. And no, this won't break the plot, the game developers made programming allowances for Saemon being dead--you may even see lines from Elminster you never knew were in the game.)
