Is it possible to do this? If it were possible, I'd like to import a few items from BG2:SoA/ToB into my BG/ToSC game, such as a gem bag, ammo containers, scroll and potion cases. That would help immensely in inventory management.

The item images are not compatible as far as I know. I'm not sure about the item properties, though. There are fields in the TeamBG IEEP that are used in BG2 but not used in BG/TOSC. Why don't you experiment and let us know what you find?

Well I wouldn't know IEEP if it came up and bit me in the behind, lol.

Somehow I don't think it's as easy as copying the item file from BG2 and putting it into the BG override folder.

Well, looks like I'll have to make more frequent trips to the merchant, heh.

Go to the links page at teambg.com. There's a couple of pages with custom items, and I'm pretty sure someone has made bags of holding and scroll cases for BG1. There's also a gem bag and a scroll case in Dark Side of the Sword Coast.

If I'm not mistaken, you actually CAN put the items in the override folder, and then use the CLUAConsole:CreateItem command to summon them.

You can do that if you want the game to crash... lol I tried taking an item .bam out of BG2 to use in a custom item I was making for BG/Tales (a crystal pony collection with no magical properties!) and the game kept crashing.

The items people have made for BG/Tales such as bag-o-holding and et cetera use BG/Tales .bams for the display. At least, this is true for the ones I've seen.
