I think I have been all over the Gnoll stronghold and have found lots o f holes, but no lady in distress. Where is she??

in one of the holes on the upper level from memory.
cant remember which one, but it was a bit sneaky as u cant actually
see her unless you walk down the wooden stairs made from poles,
all the way to the bottom of the pit. only THEN will u be able to
see her.

Dynaheir is located at the main level of the Stronghold, IN the easternmost pit - you'll have to get someone to walk into the pit in order to see her.

Make sure to have Edwin be the one you send down to "save" her.

It's very fun to choose the neutral path in this quest when all three characters are present. It's best to do a save before hand and try various things to see how to create the most carnage as it's pretty funny. The characters all tell you off and go back to being controled by the computer. In my best result, Edwin killed Dynaheir, then Minsc attacked and killed Edwin, then we charmed Minsc and let him clear the way out of the area for us until he died. How sad...

As far as I can tell the video sequence as the start of the Gnoll Stonghold shows you pretty much what to do to find Dynaheir. On one occation I sent Edwin into the pit to greet her and of course she is unarmed so it's a bit of a one-sided fight. Edwin set to work with his staff and I went off to make a cup of coffee. He was still swinging away when I returned, but eventually he chipped away, a point at a time, until she was dead - pretty sick don't you think.

I wonder if you can find a way to have them both in your party - that would be amusing.

The best thing in BG1 is to have a party made up of characters who hate each other. When fights break out, just choose sides and wander off to find some more arch-enemies to put together!

If u don't talk to Edwin, go to stronghold, rescue the witch, take her to Nashkel, dump her sumplace, recruit Eddy, then recruit her back, wot happens?
