I've gone to the Gnoll Stronghold and picked up Dynaheir. Do I have to go and pick up Minsc too? I've got a decent party now and I'd prefer not to have him in it. Will Dynaheir (eventually) leave if I don't go and fetch Minsc? Thanks for any responses

Chances are you're going to want to pick up Minsc. He is an extraordinary fighter, and his dialogue will have you in stitches.
Dynaheir will leave if you never get him, however if you really don't want to be bothered with him, then go pick him up, leave a party member somewhere where you can find them, then send Minsc off, without armor or weapons, to go fight a bunch of Gnolls all at once. Then drop his dead carcass from your body. |
Or if you think you might want him later and don't want to kill him. After you let him join your party, go to a house that you won't need to visit then reform your party and take him out. Now get out of the house before he can talk to you. This way he won't try to take dyhaneir with him when he leaves.

It is possible to avoid having Minsc and Dynaheir, but why in the world would someone, don't wish to include Minsc in their group? He is first of all a Class 1 fighter, and some of his conversations will crack you up. The Gnoll Stronghold is no match for a well equipped party, at all.

Minsc was a core fighter to my party. So was Dynaheir.
There are lots of Gnolls in the gnoll Stronghold...and they keep on respawning. But Gnolls are no match for good fighters, so it isn't too bad. |
