When I got caught in the plot in CandleKeep of murder, my reputation as a Paladin became fallen. I didn't relaize this til much later after several saved games. I thought that I read somewhere that towards the end of the game that if you show the diary of Saverok (sp?) to Belt that he'd clear my name. Is this true? If not, is there anything else I can do?

What was your rep before the murder accusation plot? Do you have any saved games prior to this so perhaps we can figure out a way to avoid this (I had a paladin in an older game and this didn't happen, though our rep was about 19 or 20 [heroic])?

Your Paladin fell because your rep. dropped too low. The easiest way to get it back up is to visit your local church, and as always, try not to go around killing Flaming Fist officers, even if they attack you, because that can really kill even the highest reputation. Also, try not to use effect spells in public. That means you cant fireball that assasin in the local tavern unless you want to spend alot of time (and sometimes money) later on in the game to improve your status. Or you could always keep your Fallen Paladin status until the end of the game, which isnt very far away if you just got into Chapter 7 (keep low near the Flaming Fist...unless you want to get caught...in which case, the answer to Nub's riddle is 33...if you really wanted to know)

Go to any temple and donate some money. This way you can rise you reputation to 20! But, it is not a profitable investment.
