I am playing IWD and I found several places that have posted the cheat codes, however they don't seem to work (CNTL + TAB) with 1.6 Patch. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

They seem to work fine for me. Make sure you type them in right.

I've noticed the same thing. I tried to up my little weakling Mage with some exp. I got a message that said nice try cheater. LOL None of the other cheats work for me either ver 106. I checked and rechecked for typos.

They work. Try this one CHEATERSDOPROSPER:SetCurrentXP(1810000)
If your not using that format then they won't work.

Hi I have no problems with any of the cheat codes since 1.6 but I do get a lockup after the final movie (return to easthaven).Anyone else suffering ?.

A lock-up after returning to Easthaven is common. Empty the Override directory, keep a copy, and restore it after you're properly in Easthaven.

Yeh I had this problem as well. Spotting a difference on one of your replies I realised you need to write CHEATERSDOPROSPER rather than CHEATERDOPROSPER.

Somewhat obvious, but make sure you've edited icewind.ini to say Cheats=1 under Game Options... And make sure you're typing everything in right, semicolons and colons and all that... If it says "nice try, cheater" then you've got the wrong codes. If you're trying for gold, make sure it's not in quotation marks (I'm not sure how to put experience - I haven't tried it) inside the brackets.

Hiya....I am having the same problem with the cheat codes. Long sotry short I royally screwed up my game and want to pump the funds to go buy back some nifty items I sold (that and I suck at video games so I thought I'd fill up my heal potions). I keep getting a wrong parameter message after I type the cheat codes (had to instalk the patch of course just to get the cheat window to actually show)...or sometimes I'll get that nice try cheater (kinda cool that). Heres what I am typing:

CHEATERSDOPROSPER:AddGold("10000");

And nothin...any thoughts?
