I have solved the puzzle in the secret room off of the round table room but the stairs do not appear!? Have I missed something? The text said "Finally, you hear a loud clattering coming from the round table room" But nothing looks different there either.

BTW, I have installed both the v1.05 and v1.06 patches, in that order.

No, this is not a game-stopping glitch. And no, you have not solved the puzzle. At least not completely. There's one more step. Go back to the room with the big round table and see if you can find something else to do.
