Talk to the inn keeper of the inn and confront him with the ring. If you talked to Arundel you know that Eidan is dead. He left his will behind but not in the manner a normal person would, for obvious reasons. Read the discription of the ring and go to the inn keeper.

I thought there must be something with that innkeeper. He shows red if you do detect evil, but it never occurred to me to check out the ring - duh!
