I need a map that can tell me how to get back to a previous location. i.e., from the museum back to the vendor in the tower. Can someone point me to a website with a schematic-type map that I could use just to navigate, but without all the extra information.

actually, try <font color="white">Skullport</font>.
the maps are excellent and have exits and entrances marked. those with more than one level attached, handily lists them all as clickables beside it. i believe it is just what you are looking for.
the maps here are great, however for what you need, <font color="white">Skullport</font> is the answer.

From the Museum to the vendor in the tower? Ummm. try exiting the Wyrm's Tooth (outside the museum) map at the top right corner. that will take you to a board that exits to wyrm's tooth, lower dorn and the outside world. The "vendor in the tower" i'm guessing is, Bandoth? the rude guy in upper dorn who sells summon elemental spells?

My guess would be the vendor in the Hand=P
