What Tactics Did You Guys Use On The Final Battle???
Mine: Spoiler! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I Firstly Took Out The Two Golems, That Stopped All That Poisonous Gas Jumping Out At Me ;) Then I Swallowed A Ton Of Strenth Potions, (Potions Of Storm Giant Strenth) And Went On To Rip Him To Shreads My Mage Stood At The Edge Casting Lightning Bolts At Him. My Cleric (Who Had Entropy Sheild AND Devensive Harmony Giving Him An Armour Class Of -18!!!) Kept Casting Benificial Spells Like Rightious Wrath Of The Faithful And The Like. My Other Cleric (Half Ranger) Was Hitting Him From Afar With Her Spiritual Hammer. That Leaves A Ranger And A Fighter To Slash Him Up At Close Range!! And, For The Record, At The End Of It, My Whole Party Was Still Alive In Time To Flee The Ruins Of The Tower!!! |
Potential Spoiler Alert!
* * * * * * * * * * Pretty much the same, here. Drop the golems quickly, then potions of resist fire, speed, and strength. I positioned my 3 fighters equally around the room and didn't move them (you simply have to love those traps); as he jumps around each one would engage him. My fighter/thief was using Messenger of Sseth (I love that bow!) and Arrows of the Hand while my mage was summoning everything he had. Despite many people's opinion that IWD/HoW was "just a dungeon crawl with not much plot" I found the battles to be more strategically challenging than in SoA/ToB. |
Spoiler
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Yea! My Theif Was Using Messenger Of Sseth AND Arrows Of The Hand!! Wow! Coincidence! Are Arrows Of The Hand Pretty Much Arrows +3? I Think So! Did You Use That Sword +5 When Near Lac Dinneshire? That Sword Kicks Ass! Long Sword +5!! However, By The Time You Get It, You Can't Go Away From Lac Dinneshire Anyway!! :D I Wonder How Far A Dragons Flight Counts As? |
you are gorey people man but your tactics are good
|
@Beaumanoir: great minds think alike, eh? :D Yes, Arrows of the Hand = arrows +3. Of course I used the restored sword (not to be confused with Narsil ); who wouldn't? Dragons could probably cover 50 - 75 miles (80 - 120 km) in one day of flying at "pleasure cruising" speed.
@Akar Kessel: "gorey"? As in Edward Gorey? I can live with that. |
Thats What I Thought!! I Thought A Dragon Could Fly Probabaly All The Way To The Severd Hand If He REALLY Wanted Too! Hehehehehe! That Sword Just Kicks Ass!!
