I'm haveing a problem with crashes as I try to enter Lower dorn'e deep from Wyrm's Tooth. The BlackIsle site says that this is a problem with UK versions and offers a patch to fix it. But I bought my copy of IWD on eBay and ave no idea whether or not it is the UK version. Does anyone know how I would fgure this out?

Hi Guys, I've not been on the forum for a few weeks bu I see that this crash problem is back again, so here is my experience of it.

I also bought my copy from E-bay.
It crashed at L.D.D. with 'Assertion Error at Line 1763' etc.
As far as I know this only happens with the UK version (which I think also covers the rest of Europe).
I downloaded the UK Patch and the problem was fixed.
I can't find any info to comfirm what identifies a UK version but my game is labilled V1,3,062915 and the readme file says at one place - Info "Not Valid in North America", so I guess this is a clue.

Cerberus, I am certain that you should go ahead and download the UK Patch, good luck.

I went ahead backed up my saved game, installed the UK patch and viola! Lower Dorn's Deep loads right up!
