I seem to be lost...I have seen an entrance to a cavern sorta in the middle of the screen(in the map screen), but I can't find any way to get down there! Help please!

Sir Golum the only thing you need to worry about is the cave in the south east corner of the map with the three or four ettin's in it. To get there you have to go on the west side of the map and move south than along the bottom. If you move along the ridge at the north you will eventually get to a building with a mage in it. These two hold one minor quest. The only other and most important area is the bridge that takes you out of the area into another part of Dorm's deep, kind of in the center of the map. To get there you need to walk east from the center of the big statues with the three ettin's next to it, then south to the bridge. If you are refering to the crevess were a bridge as fallen out below the main bridge you can't get there, at least not yet. It is just a view from the top of the ridge but you do get down there eventually but not before passing the drow and speaking to an Umber Hulk which isn't really an Umber Hulk.

I hope this doesn't confuse you, as I am only taking a guess at what you are talking about.

Sir Goulum, you might want to check out a map of the area, like from the IronWorks walkthrough or this one. If you look at the maps closely you should see that you can take either an upper or a lower route from the entrance -- the two different routes give you different possibilities in terms of the caves you can enter.

I hope this helps. Good luck!
