I am trying to download TotLM, but every site I go to has a line, when it is my turn, it freezes, why is that happening? is it my server timing out, or theirs? I am on cable: os windows xp pro

Tormymystic,

Are you sure it's frozen, as opposed to just painfully slow? I had the same experience with a T3 line and just kept trying it at different sites. That was only half the battle for me, because the first two downloads that completed "successfully" were corrupted.

It's worth the effort, though, because it's free and offers quite a bit of entertaining game time.

it is frozen, I never get the save as box, and the download window locks up, and will do nothing, not even close

<font color = mediumspringgreen>Stormymystic,

Hmmm... That is puzzling, since it sounds like you have the computer brawn and a wideband connection. If you are going to various sites and getting the same error, the problem is likely at your end; but I am afraid it is beyond me to tell you what it is.

Do you have access to a wideband connection at work or through a friend? I have dial-up at home; so downloaded on a wideband connection and burned a CD.

If you can't get satisfaction any other way, I could probably see my way clear to drop a CD in the mail to you.

Edit: Something you said just connected: You should be able to find this at a site that does not have a line of folks in front of you. If you have problems doing this, let me know. It might take a few days for me to get around to it; but I'll bet I (and you) can find a site with no waiting. Also, it might be the time of day I try to download either when all USA kids are in school, or very late at night.

that could be part of the problem, since i do not work, my home comp is all i have, it is broadband, but it is faulty, heh, go figure, lol, sometimes it is worse than dial up, thank it might be the fact that the modem got hit a little while back? and now it is connected by a ethernet conection :/ tat is when we started having problems with it, I have gone to every site I can find, and they all link me right back to a line up site

<font color = mediumspringgreen>Stormymystic,

I went to the following site, about 20 minutes ago (6:00 a.m. PDT), selected "mirror 1" and had the download completed 282 seconds later. No line.

Hope this helps. Please let me know how you fare.

Edit: BTW, I enjoyed the pictures of your young sprouts. I have a few myself, Amy (born 5/93), and Ethan (born 3/95). Oh, and a correction to your post: Unless you've hired a full time nanny and housekeeper, I am sure you DO work more than most, just don't get paid in greenbacks.
