I'm still in the prologue and, as usual, i have doubts about my party. I couldn't see how i could fit a bard in this. Does it lacks on melee?

Aasimir paladin (of the magic goddess, don't ask me why)
Half-orc barbarian
Human fighter -archer, will go wizard (illusionist?) after a few levels
Gold Dwarf cleric (of the northern god of battle)
Ghostwise halfling rogue
Wood elf sorcerer

All except the human fighter will stay single-class.

No it does not lack on melee quite the contrary

The barbarian, the paladin of Mystra and the cleric of tempus are exellent tanks!

You've got your bases covered, the standard party in such game is:
2 tanks
1 sneaker
1 healer
1 arcane caster
1 misc (any choice of 3rd tank, druid, 2nd arcane caster, another cleric,..)

As long as you stick to this you can't go wrong.

For this one, I'm taking a clue from NWN and trying out a few things i tried there to great success.

Aasimar Paladin, with the first level in fighter
Human Monk
Human ranger/druid
Tiefling Rogue
Half elf Cleric of Lathander
Tiefling Wizard

They are doing pretty well so far, but i'm only up to chapter 2. and i've only restarted once! This game is really good so far.

My party is -

Aasimar Paladin of Helm
Shield Dwarf Fighter
Human Ranger
Half-elf Cleric of Lathander
Moon Elf Wizard
Rock Gnome Rouge. Will also take some levels as a Illusionist

I am thinking of have my Ranger take a level or two as a Rogue in order to boost his hide and move silently skills. I might also have my Paladin take several levels as a Figher in order to beneift from their bonus feats and to be able to specialize in the broad sword.

I have not gotten the game yet but will fix that tomorrow. My party is going to be a bit different to begin with to play with some of the new class and races

Aasimar - Cleric
Tiefling - Rogue
Drow - Ranger (ok sue me I am a Drizzt fan like most of you )
Woodelf - Barbarian/Sorcerer (do not slam me to much this actually worked well for the table top)
H-elf - Druid
Tiefling - Monk

I've put together a fairly well rounded group of clowns. I'm not very familiar with these complex 3rd edition rules, so I'm sure that I will regret how I created a character or two. Anyhue here they are...

Fighter- Tiefling
Ranger- Drow (dual-wielding like Mr. Drizzt)
Cleric- Aasimar- Morninglord of Lathander
Rogue- Lightfoot Halfling
Evoker- Drow
Conjurer- Deep Gnome

It's been working out fairly well so far, however I set the difficulty level to 'Hard', so I've really been working for every ounce of Goblin blood.

LowTech 09-06-2002 06:25 PM

Drow Paladin - male
Drow Barbarian - male
Gold dwarf fighter - male
Aasimar cleric of Selune - female
Svirfnevlin rogue - female
Moon elf sorcerer - female
