Okay so I've explored all of level 1, including the parts you get to from level 2, and all of level 2 that doesn't involve doors that are locked/blocked with large man-shaped traps. I've opened the doors to let the abishabi (or whoever they are) out, and disabled the antimagic shield, and I think at one point when I was playing with the dais it said I opened some door somewhere.

Now I'm stumped. Is there more I can do with the dais? Where are Nathaniel's items? How do I disable the man-shaped trap - my rogue can't - is there some disabling device or should he be able to do it but is too pathetic? How do I open the doors on level 2? And finally what is that game room thingy with all the levers (rank 9 etc) for?

Okay, the battle square is how you get the key to Oria's room (the lady is IN). There are three levers in the SW corner. Pull the two mode levers, then the activation lever. Click on a square to fight something. Get three in a row, any direction, and you win the key. Only the person who pulls the lever fights. The rest of the battle square stuff is only if you want to endure 250 total combats for various items and such. Not necessary to the game.

Nathaniel's items are split between two vaults. One vault you can reach from the picture room (east side of level 2). Use "In Auril's name".

For the other vault, open the mirror room with all the trapped men. In the crypt room (where the shadows were), search for the secret door and open that. Turn the prism to face south and fire. This opens the door to the vault.

For the shadow, with the secret door open, go to the mirror just north of the prism room. Turn the mirror to face NW. Turn the prism north. Fire. The shadow will be gone and you can enter the inner room.

Just be careful no one is in the line of fire when you shoot off the prism.

Yeah I got the mirror thing after I posted this and got rid of the man-trap ;) . Only I tried the one for the crypt, have the secret door open and everything and am shooting south but it doesn't work?

Okay well I finished it all up, but Nickademus said he'd have a favour to ask me, but when I went to chat with him he said not yet? When then? I'm about to leave the temple!
