I'm at the Aurillan temple and I can't seeem to damage High Priestess Caitlan, the one that is on the 1st floor but not neer the alter/prison.

I hit her, cast spells - no effect.

Huh?

Though I hate cheating, if there's no alternative, please send me the code to kill her.

Once in awhile, this has happened in my games, too. So I always save just before entering the room. I've found that restoring to the save fixes the problem and she takes damage as usual.

Do I need to start from the begining of the Temple?

I've restarted from a save but after the fight starts - still won't take damage.

Well, what's always worked for me is exiting the game back to the desktop, then running it again and restoring to the save just before going in (or sometimes, an earlier save if I forgot to do it before going into her room).

If your most recent save isn't working, try the next most-recent. Good luck!

thanx for the suggestions, no dice though.

No save game close enough to the sceen. All the close ones are after the battle started.

I really don't want to go all the way back to the begining of chp 2.

Do you know the insta-kill? (it really bugs me to ask ...)

Yeah...anything in order to defeat a bug.

I believe that in order to do an instant kill it's the following:
go into the config program and enable cheat codes
hit (i think ctrl space) to bring up the console, then type ctrlaltdelete: enablecheatkeys()
(end the console)
then ctrl+y should kill instantly

Yeah, if you have cheat keys enabled, put the cursor over her in game and hit ctrl-y. Keep in mind you get no experience for killing this way. However, it still beats doing the temple over from the start.

It's always a good idea to have a few saves along the way, wherever you are.

Ouch! That really sucks, NS. I guess you'll have to go back to a previous save now :(

Sorry the insta-kill didn't work on her. Something must really be wrong there for that not to work. Although I've heard that certain "bosses" are supposed to be immune to the cheat kill, and she may be one of them. I've never tried the cheat on her myself, so can't say.

Whatever, I hope it all works out okay for you in the end.
