<font color=pink>Hey all. I've encountered a bug at the very beginning of Chapter one. I've saved Sabrina and Dareth, and eliminated all orcs in the area. When i cross the bridge to go to the next map and the camp, Torak says something about exterminating us, and the dialouge option is "I've heard it all before," which is, if I remember correctly, what he says when you confront him the last time in the original map. According to my strat guide hes supposed to set the orcs on us and Emma Moonblade is supposed to come and help. Well nothing happens. After the dialouge, Torak stands there and so do the orcs; everything is still in dialouge mode so i cant get to the main menu or do anything else. I've downloaded the most recent patch. Whats up with my game :(

That's a little strange. What's supposed to happen is this:

When you get to the upper left on the Dereth map, you meet Torak (again). He sics some Orcs on you while crossing the bridge and escaping. You take out the opposition, then follow across the bridge to the next map.

Right at the start, you come across Torak and more friends. This time he says "Kill intruders" and takes off. This is when Emma Moonblade pops in to help and has her sword stolen.

I've never heard of anyone having a problem with this segment. Have you tried going back to an earlier save, and playing on from there? You may also want to consider re-installing the game as a last resort (something may have become corrupted).

Are your characters invisible or hiding in shadows? Or did you install any mods or cheats?

<font color=pink>I have not installed any mods, but i did give my main char some of the better items, same way as you do in the BG series. I do have a theif who is hiding in shadows too.</font>

I get the same bug right now in the game exactly as you describe. Torak and company just stand there along with my party - in dialogue mode - and NOTHING happens. Have you found any solution yet?

Anyone help? Can't continue from this point in ch 1. Thanks!

Trying to remember because it has been a while. I think (I waan't clear if you could "move" or not i.e. you are not in "conversation mode") that I just killed them all Torak, too, and got exp for it. It didn't screw up the game because for the end battle he was miraculously ressurected and I got to fight him again and get more experience. Try that if you are where you can fight him and kill him. Before you do fight him though, I would make an archive save just to be sure.
