I just had a simple question of why my Ranger level 11 which now has two spells I can use. Why is it when I go to use his spells they are dark and I can't use them. I have read everywhere and can't find where there is any restrictions on his use, but will someone please correct me here. Thanks.

<font color="gold">It is a big chance that I'm wrong in this, but atleast in 2nd Ed., you can't cast any spells if you're wearing any armour.

However, on a second thought, that shouldn't be any problem, as it is Druidical spells...</font>

And what's his wisdom? You need 10+spell level wisdom to cast spells in third edition. If your guy's WIS isn't at least 11, he won't be casting any spells at all.

You can cast Divine spells while wearing armour but I think he's Wisdom is too low to cast spells.
