Need your opinions!
I enjoyed the IWD series, but not as much as the BG series (liked the rich storyline in BG2). Also didn't like the lack of booty in the IWD series. I had no arrows left and couldn't get any more by the time of the final battle. I've read reviews that IWD2 is more difficult than IWD and full of battles. What do you think of it? Thanks for any insight. |
Well it is difficult becuase of the 3ed rules. You need time to get used to things. Graphics remains the same battels are more of a challenge to say the least. New spells and all make it quite enjoyable game IMO.

I say you should get it... although from the manual the 3ed rules might seem confusing you will understand evrything soon as you start playing..

I think I've played 3rd Ed rules, isn't BG2 Throne of Bhaal 3rd edition?
I have heard the battles are tough, I enjoy a challenge but don't enjoy loading up for the same battle 20 times and in the end it's decided up on by whether I get first hit or not... I may just get it anyway, I think it's only about 20 bucks now. |

Ahh, they talk about using things like Sorcerers from the 3rd edition rules but maybe don't use the rules themselves to govern the gameplay (or something like that?)
|
sorcerers are even in 1st edition. They just decided sorcerers would be a hard class control so they didnt add it in BG or ID

If you liked IWD you will probably like IWD2.
I am currently playing and enjoying it, but be warned, it is a very linear hack and slash, no different from IWD in that respect. It does seem to be harder, you spot one monster and the next thing you know they swarm in from all sides! |
Epona, where are you in the game?
What I really like about this game is that it doesn't go easier as your characters grow more powerfull. It gets harder. A lot harder(light of Cera Sumat anyone?). |
No way... I found IWD1 much harder...
