I know about some of you already, but out of curiosity, what is the most classes that you have ever put into a single character? My personal highest was 4 with my Drow ranger1/paladin2/rogue1/magex, but throughout the game I wondered if adding a level of fighter would be advantageous. I suppose a potential Ultra-AC build could have 5 classes: a deep gnome fighter/monk/rogue/dreadmaster/conjuror gets to around 76 AC with buffs. Of course, you get at least a 20% xp penalty for that.

So, has anyone ever packed 5 or more classes into a character?

Once, I installed the No-Alignment requirement mod, and tried to make a single character with all the classes, just for fun. Erm... ALL the classes... is not... really effective
But my greatest achievement was a figter10/ranger10/paladin10. Not for the mad amount of multiclassing, but for the sheer power of a spell-immune Drow hacking at trolls and undead and orcs with GH and CS, and huge saves, and stuff. He ruled quite much. So, IMHO, you'll never actually need 4 classes over 3, if for anything, then for the probability of having xp penalties..

Sounds cool! I may try that sometime... though I need to try the non-powergamy party after my current run. In fact, it crossed my mind to turn my current drow into that guy, but he has an insufficient DEX and is using greataxes :D

Yea, you really don't need 4 classes if you have other party members to take the workload, but my 4 classed mage was designed to take the roguery, magery, and pladin bonuses, and of course having a mage who can effectively cut you up with dual daggers is handy, too.

Not comparing to you marty, but mine was a human clericx/fighter4/rouge1

Marty4 01-22-2005 10:30 AM

Jerry, wouldn't that give you an xp penalty?

Mega bump here, but I was considering a Femal Drow Fighter 4/Monk 3/Ranger 3/Dreadmaster 20

Awesome AC, spell resistance, Evasion, dual weilding. Wow.

I was just planning making a fighter 4/ rogue x/ ranger x/ enchanter y (x<y, an archer bounty hunter, the enchanter part was for disabling the prey), and then before HOF throw in 1 lvl of dreadmaster for the tyrant's dictum.
Kinda sick.

Hye, something happened to my reply. It was
(x<y, the enchanter part is disabling the prey)
and then before HOF, throw in a single lvl of Dreadmaster for the tyrant's dictum.

Oh well. I can't understand why typing "x less than y" is forbidden.

Some html tags re restricted. Sometimes if you use the '<' and '>' they are mistaken for html tags and are not allowed.

Back on topic (seeing how its already resurrected, I might as well post mine) it was druid 27 / fighter 1 / cleric dreadmaster bane 1 / transmuter 1.
Fighter for armor + weapons
Dreadmaster for dreadmaster bonus
Transmuter for transmuter bonus.
