What schools can an Illusionist not cast spells from?

I went looking for and found my manual. Assuming that the information is correct, opposition schools are as follows (specialist type; opposition school{s}):
Abjurer; illusion, transmutation Conjuror; divination, evocation Diviner; evocation Enchanter; necromancy Evoker; enchantment, conjuration Illusionist; abjuration, necromancy Necromancer; illusion, transmutation Transmuter; abjuration So you'd be looking at going without abjuration and necromancy. Edit: it should be a fairly simple matter to test this at character creation by seeing which spells are greyed out, and I would recommend making a note of it. the manual has some known errors. Diviners have conjuration as opposing school. Don't remember if the other are correct

IWD 1 or 2? And do you have HoW?

I thought Necromancers have illusion and enchantment and not illusion and transmutation as opposition schools in IWD2.

IWD2 is under discussion. This thread is really an extension of some other discussions re party composition.

Sorry I didn't notice it was an extension of another thread.
Not sure how correct is the manual in this, so I think best way to check the opposition schools is to go to character creation screen and see which spells you can't pick. |
