I had, I repeat, HAD the Masque of death in my possession. Found all 5 artifacts, was preparing the ritual at the stand to waste the demon dude (this is my second time through the game) and, poof, the Masque is gone. I checked all the shops and didn't sell it. I even waisted Herespia(sp) because I gave her the staff and thought she took it. Could it be back at it's original spot? If an NPC took it how can out who it was? Any suggestions?

How far back is your nearest save in which you still DO have the mask??

Are you using the patch? Not sure (because I have had no need to use the patch myself) but I think it was supposed to address the problem of loosing quest items by accidentally dropping them in town or things of that nature. If you are using the patch it may very well be worth checking back in the Serpent Temple.

If none of these options are helpful, email me and I'll see if I can find you a solution that will work.
