It's just part of the plot. I know, it was kind of sad...an artist dying for his creation. Remember, he was "drugging" himself with potions of speed (read "methamphetamine") and his system couldn't take it anymore.

His artwork was a portrait of Queen Ellisime of the Elves, reknowned for her goddess-like beauty. If you play through the second game (BG2) you actually get to meet her towards the endgame. ;)

Yes, they mention his name when you have to find a sculptor. I really did like Prism, and i wish he lived.

a further note abotu the potions of speed he was using, they each age the user 1 year (in PnP) this restriction isn't enforced on the characters, but it apparently was on the NPC, and anytime you are maically aged you are forced to make a system shock roll, he just couldn't handle all the age.

could anyone tell me please where Prism is hiding? I could not find him so far.

hes in the place where you come out at end of nashkel mines, SEish of nashkel you cant miss the big face in the rock but remember soon as you initiate conversation with him be prepared for a tough fight with greywolf if you choose that path.

Personally I think he was poisoned by members of KAK so they could frame his death on a Kobold.

I know it wouldn't fit the storyline but has anyone tried casting that Level 5 Preist spell reanimate/resurrect/whateveritis?

Oh and I cast entangle on Prism by accident before Greywolf came and after I killed Greywolf and talked to Prism he tried walking to that spot and couldn't! It was funny to see him walk in place...but then eventually entangle wore off and he died :(
