after i talk to ekbu and go down into the cave there is a toad blocking my path that wont get out of the way..when i approach him, he says "get out of way"....is there something im doing wrong? what to do, what to do?

I don't think there is anything to do, other than just killing the nasty slimy thing

The little men in the Stout Mines have a nasty tendency to get stuck in walls right in the middle of paths too...

Do you have the patch installed. This was one of the things that was supposed to be fixed by the patch. The first time I came across him, I walked right up against him, and talked to him (Hail will do), then said goodbye, and then walked back out and he followed me until I was able to get by him. This time with the patch installed the little bugger won't move. If you take the kill him option, you need to do it very quickly before the alarm is sounded. Pick your most devaststing spell, or pump up a character with frenzy and bloodlust so they do megga damage very quickly. Save before trying this - if the alarm is raised, the toads will all be out to kill you in revenge.

What patch??? I've been to the Activision site and there's no patch there. As far as the Toad in the way, I just kept walking and he was kind of shoved along in front of me until I got to a wider spot in the tunnel and was able to step around him.

I had that problem in my first attempt to play the game, nothing short of killing him worked, but at the low level I was I could not complete the quest anyway, so I reloaded at a point before I killed him, finished the crypt quests & went back at level 6 or 7. He was still in the way but by then no one cared that I had to off him.

As for the villager toad getting in your way. He comes up to me and says get outta the way. What I did was say Goodbye to him and back off a bit so he keeps moving until he is out of my way.

Yeh in the patch version he says get outta my way - but the lil blighter didn't move and was still stuck in the water. Toad Village is for toads, but this guy ended up as an ex toad. Also had problem with a mermaid in Collasium, but had vanish spell then - flash, dazzle - no problem.
