Just wondering, did you get a map of the game with your copy of W&W? I bought the standard edition, not the Collector's edition, and I didn't receive any sort of map. I know there's one available, but I just wonder if I didn't get all the goodies I should have in the box. Hmmmm..

No, I didn't get one, and I didn't get the collecter's edition. Don't really need one anyway, you can always print out the one under the ironworks W&W site.

I have not seen a collectors edition, I did however receive a map, I have found it useful in so far as I can be sure I have explored all the paths and little niches. Although there maybe different things in the box for different countries?? I also received 2 little metal figurines, like little monopoly pieces.

Hey ozzbod, I'm here in Singapore. It looks like we got the same thing. In Singapore, there is no Collector's Edition which is labeled as such. BUT in fact, the "normal-looking" version I got DOES contain the contents of the Collector's Edition - namely, map, 2 figurines and a thin miniguide. Gosh, the map is a MASSIVE BONUS.

In Poland there there is no Collectors Edition (however, it costs waaaay too much), but we got the map.No figuriens, no guide.Just the map, the game & manual

I bought W&W in Australia for $99AUD = approx $141 USD, I am in New Zealand at the moment, checked out the price here and they are $90 NZD = approx $200 USD.
Both countries come with map, figurines, mini guide, manual and of course CDs. You are right tri, the map has been helpful. |
I think you have your conversions round the wrong way ozzbod. As a fellow Aussie, who does a fair amount of travelling, I can assure you that $99 AUS is about $54 US. Pity, I like your conversion rates better.

Mine came with a map and manual and an offer to win a suit of armor (wouldn't that be special on the carport roof?). . . the stores also sell the collectors edition for a bit more with the cute little figures.

This brings up a good point - the Southeast Asian editions of various computer games are not allowed to be sold elsewhere. You know why? Because, for example, I got my WW for S$46.90, which is under US$28. You now know what to buy when you're in the region... Just make sure you get the right language. The Singapore market is mainly English-based, so all our games are fully compatible with the international English editions.

Where I purchased my WW... they had two different boxes.. the collectors version.. with (supposedly) a map, pewter figures, etc... but, I picked up the other one and got the CD's, manual, a chance to win armor, and a map, for $29 US~
The map helps in that you have some idea of which direction to head, when looking for new towns, etc. dh |
