I'm in the sunken city. I've found the round room. I push a lever to open the door. I can't find anywhere to use my glowstones. Help!

I need a spoiler... I've spent hours in the part of the sunken city I have access to with no luck. I've noticed that nobody else has this problem, so I'm probably missing something obvious.
