I've got the ankeg armouron my druid, (don't know why it works thou, no cheating etc), and at first, I did not have any pink spots on my ankegh, but suddenly i did. Oh the shame.
I've got a really nice helmet, and a little cute buckler that my druid could use, and he's all green and cool, but how do i get rid of those dam pink spots? I've been wearing the cloak of "blur" because of my deep shame over those pink-sissy-dots. Could i edit the armour in anyway? I already feel abit bad about my extremly high hp, and that i can use the ankegh. Ontop of that, i got Drizzt scimitar +3. If i edit the ankegh ill feel lika a cheater, and if i keep 'em my roleplaying experience will keep getting worse and worse... |
You can edit the armour, both in terms of the paper doll, and the on-screen avater. (You can change the icon for an item in terms of it's graphic in your inventory too.) You'll need to download some of the tools from TeamBG, and have a look at the tutorials section on item editing. Also, there is a specific forum for item/spell creation (or editing) which can be found here. Scroll down and you'll find it towards the bottom.
Hope that helps. BTW the pink spots aren't too noticeable, and they add a touch of individuality to a character. Unless of course you hate them. Which is why you asked about changing them... |
I don't see those straps as pink, to me they're more of a purple.
Pure-class Druids can legally wear the Ankheg Plate, even though (for some reason) its description says they can't. This is because Druids aren't forbidden to wear plate armor, they're forbidden to wear metal armor (or any other armor not made of "natural" materials). I don't know if you have ToSC or not, but it introduces Scimitars, the only Large Sword that Druids can use. (Thieves, however, cannot use them--except for Drizzt's.) |
The straps are purplish, but there appears to be pink spots on the pauldron of the armour. It doesn't really show up, until you see the character going away from you on screen.

I'll have to double check that when I get the armor in my current game--my Half-Orc Barbarian and company only just now entered Nashkel.
And Lord Brass: Only one pauldron, or both? Either way, I usually stick the Ankheg on Jaheira, so I don't have to worry about anyone's masculinity being compromised. |
Six, how can you get half-orcs in BG1?
|
Hm. I've been searching for a tutorial 'bout it but i cannot find it.
Please please, could someone remove the pink spots, or replace them with black spots (on both pictures). mail it to : carloskar_rosth@hotmail.com |

You're probably right Six'. I used a pauldron as a plural, but as they are (or should be) identical, the description of one should be the description of the other.
I take it you added the values for the 1/2Orc Barbarian into the .2DA file? All of the data for the race/class is in the same files in BG2. Translating them isn't a problem I'd imagine, but allowing for some of the special abilities may have been a trifle harder. |
to get halforcs you require the following:
bedroom candles romantic music unwilling human very willing orc a few hours or minutes depending on orcs excitibility |
