There are trees where you are, they are called Bark Horrors, I think. Set your respawn rate to high and you will find some, eventually.

Bark Horrors, I think, are only found on the Isle of Sands (near Cet's pyramid)...of course I could be wrong; I've been through two full games and never knew there was a creature called a Wyr Mystic..

I am supposed to get a seed from a living tree but the only tree I can find is Oakenmir and I do not want to kill him. Someone said there were more living trees in the NW through the shrine. If they mean by the pyramid I don't see any living trees. Am I in the right place? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

You can find bark horrors along the coast of the lost sea; at least in the south I've ran in to a few. But in the desert near the pyramid is your best chance.
And Saz, I hope to meet an ice elemental this 4th time through, because I haven't seen one in the 3 times before. By the way, with my high level solo character I ran into a greater diversity of creatures than before.
