Did you use the Spirit Eye spell to check the ocean floor for it?
This is one of those quest items that should not disappear...not to say that it can't!

Hi. I dropped some appearantly important equipment on my ship thinking it would stay there, but it didn't. I dropped the staff I got from the lich on the boat, but after I came back to it, it wasn't there. I have previous saves, but they are way back at the dragon etc. Days worth of playing I would have to re-do if I went to those saved games. Does any one have any ideas on how I can get into the temple which requires the liches staff? Is there anbother way? Can I just skip that temple? Is there a hack that will allow me to create the staff in my inventory? Thanks for any help. I'm not wanting to re-start, but would love to finish the game.

You do need to go into this shrine. Anephas is there and has important information for you.

Hi, and thanks to both of you who replied. That is a good suggestion moni. I didn't know spirit eye will locate items. Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a shot.

Spirit Eye should show you white dots on your map indicating treasure chests, items, and levers & such...any white dots where your ship was when you left items on it shoud be the staff and anything else that did not disappear, still on the ocean floor.
