I shifted a toad around to go my way, suddenly is found my party stucked in the swamp ground there. The toad is trampling my heads, and no way to go out. Any ideas? I did not save quite a long time .....

That happened to me two or three times when I tried to push one down the hallway too far. I never found a way out of that one.. maybe if you had the vanish spell, but it's unlikely you would at that point in the game.

Reload.. and try another strategy.. I had to lure some into a side tower, then run around them in there and so on.. Sometimes saying goodbye to them will make them start moving, other times they need encouragement, but you don't have to kill them.

I never did get past that one in the garden room.. maybe next time through I will commit another act of genocide and have a look.

Genocide? you say? Well.. there was this time I was low on cash.. until I met some dwarves...

Yeah, I fell into that hidden pit several times. I was trying to build steps over the obstructionist toad with some crates and stuff and just kept falling into that pit.

Vanish is about the only sure fire solution if you have it yet. I even tried a pixie... a party of pixies, and still could not get around him.

I wound up killing most of them in a serious fit of toad rage.
