Hmmmm. maybe until better help than myself arrives to help you with your W2K files, you could try walking into a crate to keep it in front of you the whole way there, running with it in front of you through the fires. Sounds like work yes, but it is a solution until you get the info needed to fix W2K.

Try running ahead as fast as you can (use SHIFT and up arrow) and leap over the central firepit while doing so (the 0 key on the keypad). Often you will make it under the gate before it comes back down. Be careful, though, your last character in line will probably take a little crush damage.

I am stuck in the Wizard's fire pit room. I ran through the fire, then walked backwards through it. When I tried to walk around the edge of the room, I got burned up. I can't carry a crate down to the fire because my computer crashes every time I try to carry an object (using Windows 2000). I could sure use some advice.

If you're still unsuccessful with the fires you might send me a zipped copy of your save game (in the WizardsWarriors/Save folder) and I'll attempt to make it through on my Win98 system. I can then do a save and send it back to you.
