How do i use it? Just don't figure it out, not even from the spell description.

Select Spirit Eye as your active spell and them when that character uses magic you will see it on your scroll icon. Hold down the Ctrl key and click on the character that has it readied and then on your map, you will see red dots indicating enemies, and white dots that represent treasures, levers and other items of that sort.
