How do i lower the gate to finish the Ninja quest?

You need to go into the back entrance to Shurugeon ruins (through the broken wall) via the moat at the side. Once your in go to the draw bridge and check out the towers.

You need to be outside of the enterence. Go behind the bilding and to the top of the right tower and pull the lever. Make sure you save and head directly back to town. If you don't the gate has been know to raise back up and you will not ascend to your ninja roll untill you go back. Sometimes if your spawn frequency is high the demons will reset the bridge. me again, maybe im just stupid but how do i get behind the castle? i tried to go by way of the moat but there was a grate one way and a wall the other.

That little gap in the wall, where you get into the S. Ruins, you can climb that and walk around to the back that way. Or you can follow the little stream, but I don't think that will lead you to the back..

Enter the moat on the EAST side of the castle. You will find an opening under one of the towers - swim down and follow the passageway. Look for a underwater lever. Be sure that you look in ALL directions to be able to find your way out on the far side of the towers over the moat. Then you will be able to swim over to the ruined wall and get in!
