To get the their stash you'll need to talk to Harespia and say "Orb" (a magic shoppe quest). She'll ask for Kreug's wand (found in his study above the serpent temple library - it's the same one used for the serpent ritual). Give it to Harespia and she'll give you the Orb of Clarity and open the downstairs trapdoor to the treasure.

Crystal ball - only a way to wrangle the 300 GP from you.
