I need help from someone out there. Does anyone know of any Internet sites that have information on castle architectural terms? Just a basic glossary or diagram; something that middle or high schoolers would use.

The reason I'm asking: I'm writing on my story for Slip's site; my characters are now in Shurugeon, and I'd like to use some terms without making a complete fool of myself. I know what a "bailey" is, and a "portcullis", but beyond that I'm lost.

Please help out an ol' Warlock/Barbarian! You never know when it may pay off for you! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif

Sorry mate I'm a bit bookish myself. However, if you kneel behind the buttresses and keep those murder holes primed then you should be pretty safe from anything (apart from those killer blue birds and anything that's already within the walls).
