A character who is diseased can loose stats (Intellect) too - not only hitpoints. Is a stats loss permanent?

Yes, Jafin, the wasting disease will cause you to loose stats permenantly. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif That is why it is important to get the cure spells or go to the temple and get cured quickly when you get it, or reload to before you get it. Bummer HUH!?

Important note about the disease:
It has THE SAME! icon as "nausea". Very irritating, if you combine it with the missing description of the character status in the game! Therefore, if you get "nauseated" (mummies, ghouls, etc.) then:
a) Do not save the game. Wait a moment. The nausea should vanish - the disease will not. If the icon is present for a too long period of time, restart.
b) Cast Great Heal spell. It cures the nausea but not the disease. If the icon is still present, restart.
c) Cast Cure spell. It cures the disease.
The disease affects your HP and ALL your attributes randomly. It selects one of these stats every time it pops up. The loses are permanent. Curing in a temple is about 650 gold.
