Can anoyone tell me what the book of misfortune does and who can use it? I picked it up in the serpent temple but I have tried to get almost every type of class to use it and can't find anyone who can. Please help!!!!

I don't believe it serves any purpose other than to take up inventory space. This could be one of those items which served a purpose in the original design for the game but when it was downscaled for faster release got left in. My hypothesis: Misfortune was a level 1 spell which was cancelled later. Nevertheless, some Books of Misfortune remained in the game (the Inquisitor, for example). This can happen, no need to get angry. Well, the books should be removed in the patch.
The book is 250 gold. Take it if you have enough space in your inventory.

in my Stradegy Guide it says it is a fake tome and others can come up at anytime
